League of Super Evil makes the Canadian Screenwriting Award Finals!
Thursday, March 24th, 2011I’m very excited that my fishy tale for League of Super Evil, “All You Can Eat”, has made the finals of the Canadian Screenwriting Awards. For anyone who hasn’t seen the episode yet, it concerns Voltar’s attempts to bankrupt those posture-challenged Force Fighters V by eating their all-you-can-eat sushi bar out of business. Naturally, Voltar’s scheme does not turn out quite as planned. Without giving it away, let’s just say… there will be stinky fish. Glad to hear that my pals and show creators Phil Ivanusic-Vallee and Davila LeBlanc have also made the finals with their hilarious L.O.S.E. script “Voltina”. That means two out of five spots in the animation category have gone to League of Super Evil. Bwahahaha!
First of all, It’s awesome to see you back on your blog again. Second, Congrats on “League of Super Evil” made it to the animation finals. Here’s for “Jimmy Two-Shoes” (my favorite show on Disney XD) and “League of Super evil” winning.
Also, the 2nd season of Jimmy Two-Shoes to me is awesmazing! Are you using Toon Boom for the sketching and final animation work, or do you scan each penciled pic into the computer and ink it in Toon Boom,or some other digital animating program. I so can’t wait to see what Season 3’s intro’s going to be like. As well as the episodes. Is there a way I contact any of the voice actors for “Jimmy Two-Shoes”?I’d like to show them some fan art I’ve done. That is, if they don’t mind looking, and if they are not too busy.
Good Luck with Everything!
Ginger.
Hi Ginger,
Good to hear from you, and thanks for the congrats! I have been absent from my blog for a month as I have been very busy with a new series I’m writing called Finding Stuff Out. Do you still get League of Super Evil in the U.S.? I heard that Cartoon Network dropped it, although it’s doing really well in England on the BBC.
It shouldn’t be too hard to track down the voice actors. Some of them are my Facebook friends, so if you drop me a line there, you can find them through there. They are also on imdb, so you could do a google search and probably reach their sites, for those that have them.
What are you working on?
Cheers,
Edward
It’s lovely to see League of Super Evil doing so well overseas, it doesn’t seem to be doing too good over here, as the TV stain “ABC3″ is slamming it through repeats and people are getting bored, please try and get season 3 out soon over in Aus. Well, N.Corps anyway.
Me too! Really miss thoses guys I just want to see them one more time. Since I first seen them which was the last time seeing them was when Voltar suite turned pink and was fall by a weird alien guy thing… So yeah I’m sad now :’(
