Had the pleasure of doing a whirlwind book signing and meet-and-greet this morning with Jennifer Herman, who is Random House – Doubleday’s Indigo energetic and engaging marketing rep. Met Chapters Indigo staff in Brampton and the GTA (who are absolutely lovely and a salve to an author’s soul!), signed enough books to get a cramp in my hand, and perhaps most gratifying of all, heard their anecdotes about dog-eared copies of STAR Academy already making the rounds between kids. I take it as one of the most honest forms of flattery that a book that’s been out for barely 7 weeks could be that worn already. Evidently kids are asking when the sequel will be released, so I am writing with renewed energy. And since my editor, Amy Black, is expecting the first draft this December 15th, that’s a good thing.

Will be doing more signings at stores in Ottawa on November 21st. Looking forward to it!
