My terror at addressing one hundred or so Chapters Indigo staff at the Random House/Doubleday head office last month and telling them about STAR Academy turned out to be unfounded. I think I’ve just been spending too much time alone at the keyboard, an introvert in an imaginary world (a necessary evil at the moment; see previous posting). Anyway, the Chapters Indigo staff were a delightful and lively bunch of individuals. So nice to get out and be amongst others of my species. They asked me some very interesting questions about the novel, and were really fun to meet and speak with, so I’m now more eager than ever for the book to hit the shelves. 30 days and counting now…
